Ideas for film

The genre for our film will be crime. It will be set in either Ramsgate harbour or st Margarets.
We will be filming only the opening of our film which will include credits and also introduce the main characters.
Our film will start with the 3 main characters in the film have a briefcase or package that they need to deliver. This is due to the contents of the briefcase or package, which is never revealed to the audience, is illegal or stolen. The film will start off as a narration so that there is minimal dialogue from the characters on screen. The narrator will explain what is happening on screen as well as the story behind the 3 characters.

Your title sequence should
1-Create titles that link to the genre.
2-Establish a narrative thread but is not a complete story.
3-You must, if appropriate, introduce the main characters.
4-Create enigma.


Within the titles include
1-Production company.
2-Distribution company.
3-Actors.
4-Funder.
5-Title of film.

Media Collage

This is my collage for my media project showing my interests and general things about me. shown in the top and bottom corners are images of bands that I like. These bands include Metallica, Iron Maiden, The Levellers and AC/DC. shown in the two top slots are pictures of me and my girlfriend. in the pictures on the left are my basic interests including a Batman storage device that I made during year 11 at school. Below that is a logo for the band Deep Purple which is not only a band I like but purple is also my favourite colour. In the two pictures to the right you can see me with one of my friends, which is in the top of the two, and below that is me doing a medieval re-enactment with another of my friends and his parents at Hever castle. in the bottom pictures show my slightly different dress style with my Doc Marten boots in the left picture and a pair of punk rock style bondage trousers on the right. And finally in the middle four slots is a picture of my mum and dad on my dads Harley before they went off on their honeymoon, I also really like my dads bike. To the right of that is my dog Barney, below that is a picture of me with my mum and dad on holiday and to the left of that is a picture of me before my school prom in year 11.

Short Film Review 3

This is my next post on my media blog. This short film is a bit different as I did not choose it because it followed the theme pattern from the other two short films which linked colours and emotions. I chose this short film as it was one that I really liked as I am a fan of World War Two era films. One of the main things that i liked was the fact that the creator of this film Michael Chance also incorporated futuristic things like the soldier shown in the above picture into a historical era where it would not have existed. I think however that it really did work adding an essence of modern warfare to the time the film is set, which can be hit or miss depending on how realistic the director keeps it. I can however comment on the use of colour as the colours are almost black and white with some colour but that keeps with a dark and miserable feel that pretty much links with the mood during this time.

Short Film Review 2

this is my second short film that I will be covering on this blog. from what I can gather this short film is about fitting in to a group at what I guess is an American high school. Throughout the movie all of the students, but not the teachers, are wearing masks. these masks seem to fit everyone in to a certain friendship group as there are a collection of students that are wearing red masks as well as some girls who are wearing yellow masks. The main character however, who is the girl shown in the above picture, has quite a different mask that is different from any of the others seen in the film. I am also thinking that the colours of the mask may have some sort of representation of emotions with yellow being a typically happy colour and white being a sort of bland colour. One of the main things I like about the film however is the use of artwork on some of the masks as it in a way made me more interested to watch it rather than if they just had a mask that was only one solid colour and nothing else.
